Hi there! I'm Olivia Ice, a UX & UI Designer. As a designer, I work intentionally on every project I encounter. I strive to understand the needs and behaviors of users in order to create products that are not only visually appealing but also functional and user-friendly. I am a life long learner and love the challenge of solving complex problems.
I am graduating from Grand Canyon University in April 2024 with a bachelor's in Digital Design with an Emphasis in Web Design. Throughout my time at GCU I have developed a love of interaction design. I saw each school project as an opportunity to exercise my skills and approach problems from different angles. The courses I have taken taught me the importance of user-testing and peer review.
In addition to being a full-time student, I had the opportunity to learn in internship experiences. Working as a Web Designer for Canyon Creative helped me grow in collaboration skills as I partnered with my co-designers to complete projects. Through freelancing projects I gained experience in client interaction. I learned the importance of communication throughout the entire design process.
Through work opportunities, UX/UI and web design have become my primary area of expertise. I focus on keeping the user as the center of all research and purpose in my work.
I also have experience in graphic design, creating marketing materials and designing logos for clients. I enjoy exploring different historical styles within my work.
I have skills in Adobe After Effects, creating motion graphics pieces and gifs. I enjoy this area of design as it challenges me to think differently.
